Rum...
Rum; An alcoholic beverage distilled from fermented sugar, sugar cane, cane syrup or molasses. Often blended to offer a special aroma, flavor or color & always determined by the master distiller. The slower the distillation process, the more sweet & full the rum will become. Rum comes from Caribbean origins and is aged in barrels. The longer the stay on the oak, the greater intensity, complexity & mellowing of the rum. Renown in many cocktails from the traditional ‘Rum & Coke’, to the ‘Daiquiri’, ‘Pina Colada’ & 'Mai Tai' or 'Mojito'.. Some being quite light in body & flavor or others that reveal the richness worthy of a snifter glass.
